What ho friends! Now i know you are probably all at training and i will try to contact Tull as well, so you may already know this before next weekend but! HU? have asked us up to Holloway for a warm up game before outdoor regionals. Now this ties in very well with Winterleague the next day. My plan at the moment is for the people that have made it onto the first team to travel up to Holloway saturday morning, play some warm up games against HU? and maybe Brunel, party the night away with Holloway, crash on their floor and travel over to Winterleague the next day. What does everyone think?

For the seconds, KO are going to be around and i believe i have arranged a warm up game for you lot on the saturday! Sunday you can actually have a weekend off frisbee which is exciting! For those of you that aren't able to make outdoors / aren't picked, don't feel that you are let off the hook that weekend. I expect you guys to be at training as well to play the seconds / ko to give them some warm up / experience for you!

OK Tim from HU has suggested this schedule. As i received so many comments from everyone regarding this weekend, i have pushed ahead with the organisation of it.

10.20: HU? 1 vs HU? 2
11.30: HU? 2 vs Brunel
12.15: HU? 1 vs Kent
13.00: HU? 1 vs Brunel
14.30: Brunel vs Kent
15.15: HU? 2 vs Kent
16:00: Pick up game

Teams will be announced on Wednesday so anyone that wants a shot at the first team, keep this weekend (i.e. next saturday / sunday) free!

That sounds fine to me.

Question though, for outdoor regionals what time are we looking to get back on the Sunday?

I think the plan for this weekend coming is a very good one. Getting to play as a first team in several games on Saturday and then Winter League on Sunday will allow the team to really get a feel for playing together and build the team chemistry. It should also allow you to highlight any weaknesses, and have a week to rectify them before Outdoors.

As soon as possible seeing as a lot of players have only been allowed out to play frisbee on valentines on the proviso that you get back early....does that sound about right?

I've got a test on the Tuesday, and whilst yes, there is a lot of time to prepare, I really could do with the weekend, especially considering this a 30 credit module. So I'm gonna have to say I'm not available unfortunately.

Ok,

So after a very stressed out evening trying to sort out this weekend, we have reached a plan.
Saturday - everybody going up saturday morning, by my calculations everyone but mike and me, can you meet at 110 salisbury road at 8.30. First game for us is at 11.30 but knowing traffic and how you lot faff, you'll probably still turn up late. We'll play saturday until 5, get showered and spend the night chilling out in Egham. We're staying at Tim Hagett's house (HU? Captain) which is very good of him.
Sunday morning we will get up and go play Winterleague (will only be 3 / 4 games) Now we will be trading players with KO on the sunday so we all have enough players, so bring a red with you as well!
Bring energy drinks, bananas etc plus bedding for saturday night. Will be back early sunday evening.
Team going is Mash / Big Love / Joyce (SAT) / TB (SAT) / Clark / Ken / Flyer / Curry (Driver) / Fitter (Driver) / Irish / Cleary.
Any problems give me a ring

I had a lot of fun this weekend, although after the first day, its safe to say I was totally exhausted and I had to dig deep to conjure the ability to run and focus.

Highlights
- Charge!
- Ollie's 'overhand wrist flip'/whatever you wanna call it, assist in the Brunel game.
- Hiding our crap fitness by simply having a load of subs.
- Joyce's comical attempts at a flair assist in the Brunel game.
- Cranfield's Elephant Call. That was so funny, and Flyer was actually in tears.
- The meal in the evening was simply amazing. I kept going back for more.
- Nearly falling asleep in the bar because I didn't get my drink on, and harass the HU? players in my drunken state, although Ben did a get job of being drunk.
- Curry's snoring and Mike's effective pillow attack
- Safety
- NOT having a hangover for a change
- K-Dawgs INSANE grab after the opposing team attempted a D
- The comeback game against Thrown
- The epic reverse situation against UCL
- NO WIND!!
- Cleary, catching
- Giving LSE a run for their money, I honestly expected to get bagel'ed
- Witnessing TQ's glorious and massive scoober swings

I think there's something else, but I am so friggin' tired.

Bring on Outdoors, a lot more banter to come.

I am literally so tired that i don't have the energy to do a writeup from this weekend. However, just a few words Smile
The team that went played out of their skins on some of the points this weekend, the comeback against thrown was outstanding. I think we could have taken UCL if we hadn't played four matches the day before, but hey, thats ultimate!
Scores as i can remember them are

Saturday
HU? 7-2 KTT - HU? win
KTT 11-0 HU?2 - KTT Win
KTT 6 - 5 Cranfield - KTT Win
KTT 8-4 Brunel - KTT Win

Sunday
LSE 13 - 3 KTT - LSE Win
KTT 8 - 7 Thrown - KTT Win
UCL 9 - 8 KTT - UCL Win

So by my calculation, that puts us at a 4 wins and 3 losses, which is not a bad situation!

Personal Highlights

Feed the horse, YUM YUM
Actually singing the happy song
Gibbon call against HU?
Cocksucker Douchebag (What would a frisbee gathering be without it)
Layout D against UCL
The epic comeback against Thrown
Lexi's (KO) celebration against Thrown, catching the disc and placing it on the back off the guy who just layed out past you
Cleary's shock at catching a disc in the endzone
Clark's 1/2s
Adam's commentary on each of my pulls
The mixed grill from saturday night, man that was stunning
UCL's leveling score point for 8-8 and the spirit the whole team showed about it
Arrowhead pulled out today
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

I will let others post some more, all i can say is....BRING ON OUTDOOR REGIONALS

My personal highlights for the weekend

Mike's hammer/thumber on one point for flair
Playing chase on the arrowhead Twisted Evil
Clark's appetite at the pub
Ken's amazing layout grab after the disc was D'd
Irish's cuts to score against UCL and Kings
The awesome music on the way back in Curry's car
The massive injury toll of Kent and Kings players in one match
Big Love picking one huck straight out of the air despite two guys trying to challenge him
Big Love chasing Mash round the endzone yelling "sing the Happy song!"

and of course, making some catches
Very Happy

Bring on next weekend!

Playing on Saturday was fantastic, great fun and we got to play at hogwarts. Bonus.

Oli asked me to write something her eso I'll just post what he said verbatim.

"could you post on there for me that i had a great time and would love to play with Kent again. And good luck for regionals.

could you also put, although i doubt that you actually will put this, that one of my highlights was your so-called 'Brocolli' fail."

Ummm. Damn, what can I say. EPIC weekend of epicness.

- Curry trying to eat, change the song, and drive at the same time.
- Curry snoring like he was giving birth to some kind of nose-baby
- Curry going commando yet again because his wang is actually made of steel forged in the fires of Mount Doom.

Alright gotta think of some Curry-free highlights.

- Cleary missing two easy throws in the endzone and catching the impossible double-marked one.
- My hat
- Vid getting pretty much punched by that Thrown guy.
- The EPIC EPIC comeback of EPIC proportions. That was seriously some gratuitous amounts of comeback. Scoring one of the comeback points was gratifying as well.
- Our first 8 points agaisnt UCL. After a energy-sapping comeback, I thought the best we could hope for was to avoid the bagel. But our play was sexy and our D was amazing just because they could keep running. Top marks.
- Sausage and mash. With a whole freaking burger as a side dish.
